A GOLD coin commemorating the royal wedding has become the fastest selling collector’s item for a specialist retailer. South African-based Scoin Shop has sold more than 300 coins featuring the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, which retail for £1,850 each. Produced by the British Royal Mint, the design was officially approved by the Queen and William. ‘The royal wedding has proven to be one of this country’s most significant and memorable events in years.’ said Scoin Shop founder Alan Demby.
