London 2012 Gold Series Higher 3 Coin Gold Proof Set forms part of a premium collection of coins minted by the Royal Mint. The magnificent 22 carat gold coin set is inspired by the official motto of the Olympic Games: Citius, Altius, Fortius – Faster, Higher, Stronger.
1oz gold £100 coin - Jupiter (king of the gods and patron god of Rome) and the Olympic sport of diving is featured on this coin.

The Royal British Mint released three sets that comprise nine coins inspired by the Olympic motto. The designs have been created by John Bergdahl, who chose to look to the past, to the first Olympic Games in ancient Greece, where the first athletes pledged their allegiance to the gods of Olympia.
