The buffalo was the fourth in the Natura coin series. Buffalo live an average of 20 years and are fearsome adversaries if threatened or frightened. They have poor eyesight which is compensated by an excellent sense of smell, hearing, cunning and intelligence. The common obverse of these coins depicts the head of a dominant buffalo bull whilst the reverse portrays typical scenes of a buffalo's life.
